Travel is one of the most joyful ways we connect with the world and with each other. But for many families, especially those with children or adults on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities, planning a vacation can feel overwhelming—or even out of reach. That’s why I’m so excited to share some news: I’ve recently earned my Certified Autism Travel Professional™ (CATP) credential through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).

This certification is more than just a title. It represents focused training that helps travel professionals like me better understand the unique challenges that neurodiverse travelers may face—from sensory overload and communication differences to the need for routine and quiet spaces. With this knowledge, I’m able to provide thoughtful, individualized support to families who want to travel but need a little extra reassurance and planning.

What This Means for My Clients

As a Certified Autism Travel Professional™, I can help you navigate:

  • How disability access and accommodations work at theme parks, resorts, and attractions

  • What areas at popular destinations may be loud, crowded, or overstimulating

  • Where to find quiet zones or designated sensory-friendly spaces

  • How to choose destinations that are more supportive and inclusive for sensory needs

And one important detail that many people don’t know: Some destinations are also certified by IBCCES as Autism Certified Centers™, meaning their staff has received training to better support neurodiverse guests. I can help guide you toward those places to make your trip more comfortable and enjoyable from the start.

Personalized Planning That Puts Your Family First

Every family I work with is different, and that’s exactly how I approach each vacation. I take time to learn what matters most to you—whether that’s building in time for breaks, avoiding sensory triggers, or making sure your child’s favorite character or special interest is part of the adventure. Your vacation should reflect your family’s needs and interests, not a cookie-cutter itinerary.

And while I now offer specialized support for sensory-friendly travel, my services go far beyond that. I help families plan:

  • Multi-generational vacations

  • International and domestic travel

  • Cruises and theme park vacations

  • All-inclusive resort stays

I work with a wide range of trusted travel suppliers and destinations—and there’s no extra cost to you for using my services.

Travel Should Be for Everyone

Earning this certification is personal to me. I believe every family deserves the chance to explore the world together—without added stress or worry. Whether you’re planning your first big trip or returning to a favorite destination with new needs in mind, I’m here to help make it easier, more inclusive, and full of lasting memories.
